MIG, TIG or MMA?
MIG welding machines are a practical choice for productive fabrication because the wire is fed continuously. They suit mild steel, stainless steel and, with the correct equipment and setup, aluminium. Synergic controls can make setup faster by coordinating voltage and wire-feed settings.
TIG welding machines prioritise precision and control. DC TIG is commonly used for steel and stainless steel, while AC/DC TIG provides the alternating-current capability required for most aluminium TIG applications. Consider pulse control, high-frequency starting and water cooling when comparing professional systems.
MMA or ARC welders use flux-coated electrodes and do not require an external shielding-gas cylinder. Their portability and tolerance of outdoor conditions make them useful for maintenance, agricultural and site work. Multi-process machines combine several processes when workshop flexibility matters.
