Genuine parts compatibility guide
ABICOR BINZEL MIG torch consumables: how to identify the correct parts
Start with the exact torch model, then verify the manufacturer reference and physical specification. This guide covers the common MB EVO PRO 15, 25, 36 and 501 D families stocked across the WeldGrid range.
Step 1
Identify the complete torch model
The machine model alone does not identify the torch consumables. Look for the ABICOR BINZEL name and the complete torch designation on the handle, neck, cable assembly or documentation. A model number such as 15, 25, 36 or 501 D identifies a torch family; the suffix and cooling method also matter.
| Torch family | Cooling | Wire diameter range | Useful starting point |
|---|---|---|---|
| MB EVO PRO 15 | Air | 0.6–1.0mm | Light fabrication and smaller wire sizes |
| MB EVO PRO 25 | Air | 0.8–1.2mm | General workshop MIG/MAG work |
| MB EVO PRO 36 | Air | 0.8–1.2mm | Higher-output air-cooled applications |
| MB EVO PRO 501 D | Liquid | 1.0–1.6mm | High-output liquid-cooled systems |
Cooling and wire ranges are taken from ABICOR BINZEL operating data. Always check the documentation for the exact torch variant and application.
Step 2
Match each wear part by function and reference
Contact tip
Match the torch family, tip thread, wire diameter and tip material. The bore must suit the wire being fed.
Shop MIG contact tips →Gas nozzle
Confirm the torch family and nozzle profile. Cylindrical, conical and tapered forms serve different access and shielding needs.
Shop MIG gas nozzles →Tip adaptor or diffuser
This component locates the contact tip and can distribute shielding gas. Match its manufacturer reference and tip thread.
Shop adaptors & diffusers →Torch liner
Match torch length, wire material and wire diameter range. Steel and soft-wire setups can require different liner systems.
Shop MIG torch liners →Step 3
Use this compatibility checklist before ordering
- Manufacturer and full modelFor example, ABICOR BINZEL MB EVO PRO 36—not simply “Binzel-style”.
- Existing part numberUse the stamped, labelled or documented manufacturer reference wherever possible.
- Wire specificationRecord the wire material and diameter, including whether the setup is for aluminium or another soft wire.
- Thread and dimensionsCheck tip thread, bore, length, nozzle fit and any adaptor or retaining method.
- Torch length and coolingThese are particularly important for liners, cable assemblies and complete replacement torches.
Original manufacturer parts
Genuine means a known specification and traceable reference
Where a WeldGrid listing carries the ABICOR BINZEL name, we supply the genuine branded product rather than an unbranded lookalike. The manufacturer’s part reference provides a much stronger compatibility check than appearance alone.
